Meeting Reminder!

Hi Everyone –

Just a reminder – our next meeting is one day away! It is the bi-annual Adobe Software raffle (winner an choose any one program or suite worth up to $2100!). We have other giveaways as well. We have a great guest speaker as well – Bridget Finnegan. I hope you are able to attend. Below you will find Bridget’s bio and topic.

Bridget’s Bio: Bridget Finnegan has been at UNH since 2001. Prior to her current position as Director of New and Emerging Media she was a print designer and UNH Webmaster. Before working at UNH she worked for a very silly dot.com for doll collectors, iDolls. She went to art school before they had computers. (Actually, they existed but were large, noisy and didn't have a mouse, or if they did, someone called an exterminator.)

She graduated with a degree in photography because she couldn't stand doing the mechanicals that traditional print design required. The liberation of the Apple computer and the Adobe suite allowed her to segue into design and illustration without ever having to use a waxer.

Bridget primarily uses Illustrator to produce her blog. She uses Flash, Photoshop and Illustrator to produce animated shorts primarily for UNH. Bridget is the UNH Director of New and Emerging Media. Topic: She will be demonstrating how she creates a blog entry in Illustrator and also will do a brief demo of how she uses Photoshop and Flash to create an animated short.
